Piston Rod
The material of the piston rod is hardened steel, and metal can be sprayed on the filler area to extend the life of the piston rod. The piston material can be steel, ductile iron or aluminum. Due to its durability, cast iron is the most common. Aluminum pistons are used in large cylinder applications (usually the first stage) to minimize the weight of the piston rod assembly.
20Cr13, 38CrMoAlA, 42CrMoE, high-frequency quenching nitriding treatment or surface spray WC, so that the piston rod can obtain a higher Rockwell hardness value.
